Our Story

2003 to 2007

In 2003, Focus was founded with a mission to reshape the way businesses approached lead generation and management of the sales process. At the time, we observed significant gaps in the conversion of leads into opportunities and sales.

To address this problem, our initial solution was straightforward but effective. We took the reins of the "front-end" of the sales process. We worked closely with clients and owned the development of a customized Sales Roadmap, implemented CRM systems, recruited, managed and coached Business Development Reps (BDRs) all while functioning as a Fractional Business Development Manager.

2008 to 2015

In the years that followed, we found ourselves playing an increasingly comprehensive role for our clients. Clients were keen to embrace our philosophy of "plan your work and work your plan," which meant diligently setting and documenting objectives, leveraging technology for data-driven insights, and continually improving selling skills.

By 2012, we made a pivotal shift in our role and identity. We evolved from being Fractional Business Development Managers to becoming a Fractional Sales Management Team. This transition involved taking on full ownership of the customer's entire sales team, including the implementation and management of their sales structure, processes, technology and sales rep development.

2016 to Present

In 2016, our clients had matured to the point where they needed a full-time, in-house Sales Manager. However, they still wanted us to own and manage their ongoing sales technology (CRM). In response, we formalized our partnership with Salesforce, offering Fractional Salesforce Management to ensure our clients had and utilized the technology necessary to make data-driven decisions to grow their revenue.

Further, in 2022, we partnered with HubSpot. This broadened our CRM support services and allowed us to introduce Fractional Inbound Marketing Leadership for our customers. With this improvement, we have been able to bridge the gap between Sales and Marketing, offering a comprehensive range of services that impacts the entire revenue cycle, encompassing Marketing, Sales and Customer Success.
